Some of you might remember that I started A VDSL previously, but that was a bust, and then I deleted half of the objects used to furnish Bekah's house, so it wouldn't load and then I lost the neighborhood entirely because I'm a big dummy and deleted it. (I should've checked the residents in simPe first!)
Anyway, here is my second offering to the

You already know who lives here, or at least you should.
Meet Bekah Lykeli. Pronounced exactly like you think it is.
Yes, I decorated the house in pinks in order to amuse myself. But to be fair, the previous tenant loved pink! Bekah didn't have enough to purchase new furniture. Fresh out of CAS, I subtracted 5000 simoleons from her family funds.
I'm difficult that way.
Also, she needed money to plant a garden...and what do you need more, tomatoes or non pink furniture? Bekah despises pink, but with no job, she's in no position to complain.
As if on cue, the garden club head showed herself.
But first things first, Bekah needs a job! The job market sucks though, so no job for her.
She tries to schmooze with the garden club woman (hereto forth referred to as Romana), but she and Romana just have nothing in common.
Though this probably didn't help much at all.

Everybody is so pretty in my shiny new game :3
As an eligible male bachelor, I force Bekah to greet Charlie. Things could go well. Oooh foreshadowing~
The garden club lady will not have it though and consistently interrupts the two!
I don't like to use killing sims as a threat, but if Bekah's happiness is going to be a problem, we can certainly fix it!
Bekah likes Charlie enough to accept his compliments.
But then he gives her number to someone named Bonnie. I've still never heard from her.
No Charlie, stop ruining it!
Grilled cheese will make it all better. Maybe then Bekah won't feel so violated and she'll give Charlie another chance.
After the days events, Bekah goes to bed (damn.) Alone (double damn.)
And, as she's had the day to settle in, it's time for challenges!
I felt gypped. So I rolled again.
Bekah has $19 to her name. This ought to be fun.
She wakes up in the morning (feeling like P.Diddy) and makes her bed like the anal retentive sim that she is. Hopefully there will be a desirable job in the paper today so that she can afford her first outfit.
There's not, and I'm too lazy to send her to the fridge for grilled cheese. So she conjures one, right there and now.
And then gardening...
I'm torn between how adorable she is and annoyance that sims do this everytime it rains.
So. Attractive.
That won't be paid anytime soon.

trappingit ). He's a cross-dimensional great grandchild. That's not weird, right?
They get along well enough, in any case.
Polly Poundcake (
freudroid ) strolled by and stopped to pick up the paper. Bekah could always use friends, so she welcomed her in.
They really are quite compatible.
Yessss, her work ours start at 3pm. She get's moneyyyy
So Bekah had to take out a loan...that's totally fine, right?
Just kidding, she's already hyperventilating thinking about the interest that's going to compound.
Bekah is slightly perturbed by the idea that someone would call her so soon after leaving her home. Polly, why are you acting stalkerish?
Bekah settles in for a night of chat rooms. She needs to have more to choose from than just Charlie.
She doesn't seem to care that Charlie calls her the very next day though. Oh the double standards.

Finally, two days later, it's Bekah's first day of work. Work hard, bring bacon. For the love of God, bring bacon.

maytesims ) Nice of you to show up when Bekah's at work.
Bekah's ready to start her auto-biography. Life as a clown is obviously that exciting.
The threat of a novel really helped influence her superiors to promote her, though mime doesn't seem much better.
Bekah intends to keep writing her novel and using blackmail as a means of advance.
I think the day is coming, and coming fast, when Charlie becomes a Lykeli.
Oh look at that, he's moving in.
SUCH MAGICAL MOMENTS.
Guess what.
No more pink!
Finally, a cuisine sim! These are like dodo birds in my game, I never get them!
Welp, that's it for this update. In the meantime, Charlie and Bekah will just live in coupled bliss...at opposite sides of the couch.
You'll get to see Bekah's final outfit next time, and hopefully pregnancy and weddings and whatnot!

Man I've NEVER had a sim conjure grilled cheese, I really do need to work on that happening…

Bekah has definitely been brushing her teeth with toothpaste...unless she's laced it with Jack, but to say such things is slanderous ;p
Bekah is my first ever sim to conjure grilled cheese. I've never actually played a full-on grilled cheese sim. Because that LTW to eat 200 grilled cheeses is just impossible! But Bekah's LTW is to have 6 grandchildren for some reason. I'm not questioning it, I'm just going with it.

"Take a six-sided die, and roll it twice. The first number indicates the set of challenges, the second number the specific challenge. If you roll one that is not applicable to you (you don't have the expansion/there's no one on the lot that is eligible etc) then roll again. "
LOL the LTW to eat that many sandwhiches isn't impossible, but GODDAMN ITS HARD! I started it once but the sim that was doing it DIED when they were I guess the equivalent of 30 xD
I feel like you've thrown down a gauntlet now and I'm very VERY inclined to pick it up... ;)

I've actually started my VDSL four times. OH YEAH. FOUR! Once in TS3 where the founder's children got to teens, and then three times in TS2. One in a really complex hood set up (which I want to try and recreate again I think in the future), one in a more 'normal' start up and one where I started playing Bekah from a toddler with elderly grandparents xD
Its not that I got bored, its that I kept running out of time!
Also, you could also just get a spare, and have them have sextuplets... ^_^;;;; *whistles*

FOUR? Well, I'm actually about there...when my last posted one went belly up...I kept making Bekah in each new neighborhood I created and finally one of them stuck!
The first time, her kids were nearly adults, the second time she had her first baby, and then there's this attempt...so here's hoping it goes well XD ZOMG BEKAH AS A TODDLER :O
Since Bekah is in a new shiny game that has just over 1GB of CC, I generally just keep the game running and play when I get a moment..there's just so much going on right now!
